AMSAF’s Mission is to promote motorcycle safety and awareness and help reduce crashes and fatalities in Arizona. In doing that we offer a motorcycle training financial assistance scholarship program in Arizona. This program allows individuals to get into motorcycle training at a reduced cost.  In addition, we offer safety tips on our Facebook page and now we would like to help the motorcycle community in another way financially.

Arizona is a State where you have a choice if you want to wear a helmet or not. AMSAF would like to help those that wear a helmet or will be wearing one by creating a financial assistance program to help get you into a good modular or full face DOT Helmet. In doing this program AMSAF continues to collaborate with other Helmet dealers to enhance this program and grow it.

These programs are only made possible due to Grants, Sponsors, donations and our partners who want to help reduce crashes and fatalities in Arizona. TOGETHER we can make a difference. We want to thank the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (AZGOHS) for their support in Grants to help this program.

Special Note:  The Helmet program is open to all Arizona Residents 15 years 6 months old or older. Funds for this program come from Donations, Sponsorship and Grants.

This is a Financial Assistance Helmet Program and requires a $100.00 donation at the time of the application and is tax deductible to AMSAF (501-c3 Charity).

Helmet Program: AMSAF has collaborated with Helmet dealerships to put together a program to help you get into a good full face or modular DOT Helmet with some financial assistance from AMSAF and discount from the dealership. We believe this program will afford you the opportunity to purchase a good full face or modular DOT helmet at a reduced cost. The applicant is required to fill out an application and donate $100.00 to AMSAF which is tax deductible. If funds are not available you will not be able to get into application process as it will be closed. If AMSAF has funds available, you will receive a receipt with a promo code that you can take to one of multiple specified locations and this letter will give you credit for $225.00 off the Helmet. In addition, we have been able to work with helmet dealers and they have agreed to give an additional 25% discount off the MSRP price of helmets valued at $400.00 or higher. This promo code is only good for specific helmets defined in program.

How to Calculate Savings:

1. Helmet charge: $400.00 (varies by helmet you choose)
2. Subtract store 25% original cost discount: $100.00 (varies by the original cost of helmet you choose)
3. The helmet now costs $300.00 (in this example)
4. AMSAF pays $225.00 (subtract from helmet cost)
5. Actual helmet cost $75.00
6. Remember your donation is tax-deductible and can be applied to your Arizona State annual tax filing for that year.

AMSAF MOTORCYCLE SAFETY PROGRAM RULES
-AMSAF Financial Helmet Assistance SCHOLARSHIP-

All entries should explain why the nominee should be selected as a scholarship recipient. The Arizona Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Foundation (hereinafter “AMSAF” or “Sponsor”) will grant partial scholarships for a specified full face and modular DOT Helmet through specific dealerships selected.

All scholarship winners are required to follow all rules of Sponsor. The failure to follow any rule will result in the forfeiture of the assistance with no liability of any kind for AMSAF.

30 day deadline: You have thirty (30) days from the date you are notified of winning a scholarship to purchase your helmet from the designated dealer.

Submission/Application Guidelines:

1. The applicant is 100% responsible for all content of their application.
2. All submissions will become the property of sponsor
3. Any submission deemed inappropriate or unsuitable, in sponsor’s sole discretion, will be disqualified.
4. The submission must be the original work of the applicant.
5. Entries must be in keeping with sponsor’s image and may not be offensive, as determined by sponsor in its sole discretion, or the entry will be disqualified from the Program, as described herein.

Prizes:

1. Scholarship winners for a helmet will provide a $100.00 (one hundred dollars) tax-deductible donation to AMSAF. AMSAF will then provide $225.00 (Two hundred, twenty-five dollars) scholarship money to the dealership specified.
